May 11, 2016 · Concrete Pad Sizing Requirement. We have a Trane 4TWR4036D HP with width of 37 and depth/length of 34. It's sitting on top of 36x36 pad. One side is past the edge by almost 3/8 while the other is past the edge by 5/8. I'm thinking maybe that the pad is too small.

The elevations of the the units would be identical. Going under the concrete floor in a chase or conduit seemed like a pretty reasonable idea.
