I was hoping to program it myself (without paying the dealership to do it), but all the online programming tutorials are for Odysseys where you can insert the key into the steering column.

FWIW, I just called the Ace Hardware in Lake Stevens and the fob for my 2005 Ody is $174 and $99 for the key. Jul 10, 2020 · Turns out for the 2013 Odyssey you have to have a scanner to program a key fob. The normal instructions don't work. Honda put the transponder chip inside the key fob, not the key case. if you plan on owning the vehicle long haul, buy a scanner like the foxwell, and pm me will send you the "generic" service manual.
