It states: Recommended battery: CR2032 or equivalent. You can find them in stores that sell batteries, or here.

May 20, 2013 · Wife has a 2013 Nissan Altima S (push button start, BT, that's it basically). Car has right at 3K miles - no issues so far. However, this morning the car wouldn't start (or do anything else for that matter, couldn't even get the ignition to turn on with the start button). I checked the battery voltage with a multimeter and it was around 4 volts.

Sep 14, 2009 · Its possible that the starter solenoid is not getting power. The issue could be coming from the parking/neutral interlock switch or clutch interlocking for M/T. You have to determine whether the starter solenoid is getting power and then take it from there. '94 Nissan Altima SE, 5spd.

It can only be used to unlock/lock the doors, glove box, and trunk. You must use the Intelligent Key to start the car. I doubt the Intelligent Key will work at all if you removed the battery.
