Octopus Energy has announced the relaunch of its electric blanket scheme for the upcoming winter, offering 20,000 free electric blankets to its most vulnerable customers. The initiative, which began in January 2022,

Octopus - which is rivalled by the likes of British Gas, EDF, E On Next and Ovo - will be giving away a further 20,000 electric blankets this winter to vulnerable customers.

Octopus Energy is stepping up to provide state pensioners who have lost their £300 Winter Fuel Payments with up to £200 each. Pensioners who are customers of Octopus Energy can apply for discretionary energy bill credits of £50, £100 and £200 after the new Labour Party government discontinued the payouts for everyone.
