A record that's been on ice for 15 years was just broken in Minnesota. The Minnesota Ice Festival broke the Guinness World Records title for the largest ice maze. An adjudicator with Guinness World Records certified it on Friday.

The ice maze at the Minnesota Ice Festival set a new Guinness World Record. A Guinness World Records official read that the measurements are 1,686.087 square meters over 18,148.88 square meters.
World's largest ice maze opens with Guinness World Record certification
During a ceremony on Friday at TCO Stadium, the festival's 18,148.89-square-foot ice maze with eight-foot-tall walls was certified by Guinness as the world's largest ice maze. It's a big record for the festival after it had to cancel the 2024 event due to the Twin Cities having its warmest winter on record.
