Keurig Dr Pepper agreed to a settlement with federal regulators Tuesday, after being charged in a civil case with misleading investors about the recyclability of its K-cups.

Keurig Dr Pepper will pay a $1.5 million fine for what the SEC says was inaccurate statements about the recyclability of its single-use K-Cups, long a ubiquitous presence in kitchens and offices.

Keurig Dr Pepper, based in Burlington, Massachusetts, said in an emailed statement that it was glad to resolve the matter.

The multinational soft drink company will pay a $1.5 million settlement, but it isn't admitting or denying the agency's claims.
