The NCAA Transfer Portal is officially closed. Well, kind of. The winter window to enter the portal, which opened on Dec. 9 and ran through Dec. 28, closed on Sunday, meaning players who wish to enter will have to wait until when the spring portal window opens on April 16.

Vincent Brown Jr. joins Florida through the transfer portal as a preferred walk-on to become the seventh member of his family to wear the Orange and Blue.

The Gators bolstered their QB room with former Charlotte 49er Deshawn Purdie, who committed to the Gators via the transfer portal on Sunday.

The Florida Gators make an addition on defense via the transfer portal. UMass transfer edge Kofi Asare has made his commitment following his official visit to Gainesville. Asare has posted himself in a Gators uniform on his X (formely Twitter) page. He is coming off of his redshirt sophomore season and has two more years of eligibility.
