Utica Police have been busy trying to combat the scourge of gun violence taking over the city, but they haven't overlooked other crimes impacting victims.

A Utica man faces sexual abuse charges after he forcibly touched a woman at a Lansing Street residence, according to Utica Police.

A 26-year-old man was arrested for a “violent” sexual assault in Kent on Tuesday. On Sunday, at around 9:20 a.m. Kent patrol officers responded to calls of an assault near 1000 Central Avenue North. According to Kent police,

The woman told officers that when she woke up, she found the man sexually assaulting her. She fought back and was able to escape.

The College Station Police Department has made an arrest in an Aggravated Sexual Assault case at The Wick Apartments last week. The department says 27-year-old Various Wayne McNeal was taken into custody without incident on Wednesday night by its Major Crimes Detectives and Criminal Investigations Division.
