A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a Dec. 31 shooting that killed a woman in Tuscaloosa. Lovelle Rodgers of Tuscaloosa was charged with capital murder in connection with the fatal shooting,

The Tuscaloosa Police Department said the incident happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. in the 2400 block of Joyce Lewis Lane.

Tuscaloosa police were dispatched at 11:30 p.m. Monday to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of 20th Street. They arrived to find the victim, whose identity has not been released, dead on the scene.
