A teenage girl who was killed after getting out of a police car on the M5 in Somerset has been named. Tamzin Hall, 17 and from Wellington, was hit by a vehicle that was travelling southbound between junction 24 for Bridgwater and junction 25 for Taunton shortly after 11pm on Monday 11 November.

A 17-year-old girl has died after fleeing a police vehicle and being struck by a car on a motorway. The girl was being transported to custody when officers stopped the Avon and Somerset Police vehicle while heading northbound between junctions 25 at Taunton and 24 at Bridgwater in Somerset.

The M5 in Somerset is closed in both directions after a 17-year-old girl died in a collision. Avon and Somerset Police said the incident, involving a pedestrian and a car, had happened between junctions 24 for Bridgwater and 25 for Taunton at around 23:00 GMT on Monday.
