Following her admission, New York magazine announced in a note to readers Thursday night that Nuzzi has been put on leave.

Nuzzi, 31, and Kennedy’s relationship was strictly digital, but allegedly included risqué pics from the 31-year-old Washington correspondent, Puck News reported.

New York Magazine placed its star political reporter on leave after she disclosed a personal relationship with a former subject that reports said was Kennedy.

"Had the magazine been aware of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign," the magazine wrote in a statement.
