Team World just needs two more match wins to claim the Laver Cup a third straight time after dominating Team Europe on Saturday.

Roger Federer arrived in Berlin for the 2024 edition of the Laver Cup, a tournament founded by the legendary Swiss to pay homage to former Australian champion Rod Laver.

Frances Tiafoe has put Team World ahead at the Laver Cup with a victory over Daniil Medvedev. The American won 3-6, 6-4 and 10-5 in the third set which is a match tiebreaker.

Roger Federer retired two years ago but his connection to tennis remains stronger than ever. The return of the Laver Cup is another reminder that he never left the stage.

Carlos Alcaraz beat American Ben Shelton 6-4 6-4 to level the score between Team Europe and Team World on the second day of the Laver Cup on Saturday.

The importance of having Roger Federer close by: "It’s a huge advantage we have. Roger is definitely on our team. He himself does not want to reveal it, but we all know that he is there whenever we need him for important moments, and this is a small advantage that we take with us. They may have Rod, but we have Roger".
