Julian was stabbed in the face and back while he was sitting in a grocery cart, investigators said. When his mother, Margot Wood, tried to pull him to safety, she too was attacked. Both were rushed to hospital but Julian died. Ellis, who had followed them out of the store, was arrested.

Judge John Russo said Bionca Ellis will remain hospitalized indefinitely and could eventually stand trial if she improves.

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — The woman accused of stabbing and killing a three-year-old boy at an Ohio grocery store was found incompetent to stand trial at this time, according to our CBS affiliate WOIO-19 TV. The stabbing happened in the parking lot of a Giant Eagle in North Olmsted on June 3.

Bionca Ellis, the woman who fatally stabbed a 3-year-old boy in June at a grocery store in North Olmsted, will be admitted to a behavioral health center until she is capable to stand trial on aggravated murder charges.
