Last-minute goal lifts San Jose Sharks past New Jersey Devils
SAN JOSE – Cody Ceci scored with 24.2 seconds left in the third period to lift the San Jose Sharks to a 3-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday before a sellout crowd at SAP Center. Ceci took a pass from Alexander Wennberg at the point and fired a shot that got past Devils goalie Jacob Markstrom for his third goal of the season.
The Devils lost their four straight on a six-game road trip, and have yet to find a rhythm coming off the holiday break.
