Trial began Monday for the Swansea man accused of storming the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Michael St. Pierre, a former Fall River business owner, is charged with a felony offense of civil disorder and several misdemeanors.

A St. George man and his brother have been arrested and charged with assaulting law enforcement during the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol.

Andre Maurice Bonneau is charged with felony counts of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Bonneau is also charged with numerous misdemeanor offenses including knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds,
