Furniture shoppers may be in luck. Not only will stores be offering Black Friday deals but American Freight, a chain with 328 locations nationwide, is closing all of its stores and liquidating merchandise as part of its parent company’s bankruptcy.

American Freight Furniture and Mattress has announced it is closing its nationwide chain of stores including the one in Athens. American Freight operates a store in the Athens West Shopping Center off Atlanta Highway. The store is one of 15 stores in cities across Georgia from Savannah to the Atlanta metro area, according to its website.
