About 1,100 workers at the Stellantis Jeep factory in Toledo, Ohio, are facing layoffs early next year as the company takes further steps to cut high inventory at dealers.

Stellantis NV, the owner of the Jeep and Ram brands, said it would lay off about 1,100 workers at its Jeep plant in Toledo, Ohio, the latest in a series job cuts as the automaker contends with bloated inventory and declining sales.

Stellantis will indefinitely lay off 1,100 union-backed workers at its Toledo South Assembly Plant, the automaker announced.
