These consultations follow a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this week with economists and sector experts

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired the fourth Pre-Budget Consultation meeting with stakeholders from the export, trade, and industry sectors in preparation for the Union Budget 2025-26.

The Union Budget 2025-26, which will be the eight consecutive Budget to be presented by Sitharaman, will be tabled in Parliament on February 1.
