( MENAFN - KNN India) New Delhi, Dec 26 (KNN) Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will engage with industry captains on December 30 for pre-Budget consultations, setting the stage for her eighth consecutive Union Budget, scheduled to be presented in February 2025.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired the fourth Pre-Budget Consultation meeting with stakeholders from the export, trade, and industry sectors in preparation for the Union Budget 2025-26.

Why? Well, because the typical slot for the Union Budget speech is February 1st. In 2025, this happens to be a Saturday. So, the big question on everyone’s mind – Will Nirmala Sitharaman present the Union Budget on a Saturday? The short answer is – Yes!

These consultations follow a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this week with economists and sector experts

The Union Budget 2025-26, which will be the eight consecutive Budget to be presented by Sitharaman, will be tabled in Parliament on February 1.
