A record that's been on ice for 15 years was just broken in Minnesota. The Minnesota Ice Festival broke the Guinness World Records title for the largest ice maze. An adjudicator with Guinness World Records certified it on Friday.

Eagan’s Minnesota Ice Festival is now home to the world's largest ice maze, according to the Guinness World Records organization.

During a ceremony on Friday at TCO Stadium, the festival's 18,148.89-square-foot ice maze with eight-foot-tall walls was certified by Guinness as the world's largest ice maze. It's a big record for the festival after it had to cancel the 2024 event due to the Twin Cities having its warmest winter on record.
