Local leaders and emergency officials have released the new Lake Tahoe Regional Evacuation Plan. The plan, which was developed in conjunction with 23 agencies across the Tahoe region, was published Wednesday.

The 185-page document is essentially a reference book for all of the counties surrounding Lake Tahoe and outlines how residents could evacuate swiftly in case of an emergency situation, like a wildfire.
