Ernst & Young (EY) has expressed deep sorrow following allegations that 26-year-old Anna Sebastian, who passed away in July 2024, died due to extreme work pressure. The consulting firm issued a statement offering condolences to the family and pledged to improve the work environment for its employees.

Pune/IBNS: The Ernst & Young India has responded after a 26-year-old employee in Pune died due to "work stress" as claimed by her family, media reports said.

Anna Sebastian Perayil, a chartered accountant from Kerala, joined Ernst Young in March as her mother blamed "four months of EY's callous attitude" for her death.

This came in response to allegations by a parent of an employee of the accounting firm that their daughter had died in July due to work-related stress.
