Republican Donald Trump won the electoral vote tied to Nebraska’s 1st Congressional District on Wednesday. The former president easily bested Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris in the district that includes Nebraska’s capital city of Lincoln and surrounding rural areas.

The US presidential election is not yet decided but the race is tilting towards Donald Trump. North Carolina and Georgia were two states that the Democrats were eyeing up in their bid to make Kamala Harris the first female president in US history.

Donald Trump is currently ahead with 51.5 percent of the vote compared to Kamala Harris' 46.8 percent, according to AP.
