5 breathtaking images of cosmic wonders captured by NASA James Webb Space Telescope
Here are 5 latest cosmic wonders captured by the NASA James Webb Space Telescope
How the James Webb Space Telescope is revealing the weather and chemistry on planets around other stars
Ditsö`, also known as WASP-17 b, orbits a star 1,300 light-years from Earth. One side of the planet is perpetually locked so that it faces the star and is thus permanently illuminated as the dayside. That half of the planet reaches temperatures of 1,773 K (1,500 °C), according to Hannah Wakeford, an astrophysicist at the University of Bristol.
Rogue planets discovered: How the James Webb Space Telescope is redefining our understanding
The James Webb Space Telescope has identified rogue planets in the Perseus molecular cloud, about 960 light-years away. These planets, ranging from fi
James Webb telescope spots 6 enormous 'rogue planets' tumbling through space without a star
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has spotted six rogue planets drifting freely through space, untethered from the gravity of any companion stars. The planets are wandering through the Perseus molecular cloud 960 light-years away and range in size from five to 10 times the mass of Jupiter.
8 mesmerising images captured by NASA James Webb Space Telescope in 2024
IRAS 23385: This is an image of the molecular cloud region near the protostar IRAS 23385. Scientists also speculate to discover carbon-containing molecules. NGC 5468: This galaxy is located about 130 million light-years from Earth and the image contains data from Hubble and James Webb space telescopes.
James Webb telescope reveals intricate dance of colliding galaxies
The James Webb Space Telescope captured an image of a collision between a spiral galaxy and an elliptical galaxy. Together, they form a system known as Arp 107. Although the object had been studied before,
