Treasures long forgotten by history have been uncovered beneath the surface in underground digs or hidden away in attics or storage spaces.

The rare document, signed by Philadelphian Charles Thomson, is one of only eight known surviving signed ratification copies of the U.S. Constitution sent to the 13 original states.

Brunk Auctions, a North Carolina-based auction house, is facilitating the sale of the document, which was found in 2022.  It is only one of eight known surviving signed ratification copies of the document,

Another copy of the U.S. Constitution is headed to the auction block. Brunk Auctions of Asheville, N.C., will put the recently discovered document up for bids on Sept. 28, starting at $1 million with expectations to go significantly higher.
