The United Auto Workers’ rift with Stellantis widened Monday as the union filed federal labor charges over possibly moving production of an SUV out of the country.

The United Auto Workers union on Monday said it had filed federal unfair labor practice charges against Stellantis for allegedly violating contract terms and attempting to move production of the Dodge Durango out of the U.

(CBS DETROIT) — The United Auto Workers union on Monday filed federal unfair labor practice charges against Stellantis at the National Labor Relations Board, claiming that the automaker is violating its contract commitments and attempting to move production of the Dodge Durango out of the United States.

The UAW says its locals are pushing back against attempts by Stellantis to move Dodge Durango production out of Detroit.

The UAW said Stellantis is trying to move production of the Dodge Durango outside the U.S., one of several recent actions by the automaker that the union argues violate the labor contract they signed last fall.
