The Palisades Fire, already one of the most destructive natural disasters in the history of Los Angeles, has prompted new evacuation orders in one of the city’s major population centers. After burning the iconic Pacific Palisades neighborhood to the ground and attacking beachside communities,

Fires ignited in Pacific Palisades, Sylmar, Altadena and Hollywood Hills, forcing thousands to evacuate amid a life-threatening and destructive windstorm slamming Southern California.

S: All of the Pacific Palisades is now under mandatory evacuation. The fire is now reported to have reached over 700 acres. Traffic is gridlocked on Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Boulevard as residents attempt to evacuate the area.

Nearly a dozen people are believed to be dead and many more injured as several fires broke out across Southern California amid historically dry and windy conditions.
