Lupita Nyong'o has joined Christopher Nolan's next movie at Universal, which also stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya.

Lupita Nyong’o is the latest boldfaced name to join the buzzy ensemble of Christopher Nolan ‘s next film. Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway are also expected to star in the untitled movie, which is otherwise shrouded in secrecy. It will release in theaters on July 17, 2026.

Nyong’o won an Academy Award for her performance in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave and starred in Black Panther and its sequel, Wakanda Forever. In September, she released her intimate and joyous podcast, Mind Your Own, which navigates what it means to belong, told via the African perspective. The actress is repped by CAA and Del Shaw.
