Former UCLA football defensive end Laiatu Latu sustained a hip injury during the Colts' 16-10 Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The Indianapolis Colts rookie left the loss during the second half of the game with the injury.

Before the Colts took the practice field on Wednesday in preparation of their Week 3 matchup with the Chicago Bears, head coach Shane Steichen mentioned that rookie defensive end Laiatu Latu would not practice today. As had been reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Steichen would add that they are taking things day-to-day with Latu.

Rookie defensive end Laiatu Latu is considered day-to-day with his hip injury suffered on Sunday in Green Bay, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. Latu had to exit the game with the injury in the second half.
