The future of the beloved Philly traditions is uncertain now that the company is closing its Center City store.

Macy's has released a list of 66 "underproductive" stores it plans to close. More closures will be announced later.

All 66 locations will begin clearance sales this month that will run for approximately eight to 12 weeks, according to Macy’s FAQ page. The post Macy’s store in Mass. among dozens closing across the U.

The company said it would shut down approximately 150 "underproductive" stores over a three-year period while investing in 350 continuing locations.

Macy’s on Thursday named 66 stores it plans to shutter this year through its "Bold New Chapter" initiative. The locations are spread across 22 states.

"underproductive" stores across 22 states in an effort to "return the company to sustainable, profitable sales growth." The closures are part of Macy's "Bold New Chapter" strategy, which was announced in February 2024.
