A hunter was airlifted to the hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the head during the opening weekend of Minnesota's firearm deer hunting season.

On Saturday, November 9, around 8 a.m., the Clay County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a man hit by gunfire while hunting. According to the Clay County Sherriff’s Department, the incident happened near the area of the 4600 block of 90th Avenue N in rural Moorhead.
