A complete waste of time. Extremely steep and exhausting trek to the top only to see a bit of a view and no actual volcano. We were very disappointed. Full review by Noulsok

Hi There are many options. There are cars to rent, scooters, atv or bicycles. You can use public buses. You can get private driver who can drive you around. You can do tour of island by organized bus tour. Things to see. Fira(shopping through tiny streets and walk ways restaurants etc .... capital city), Oia(sunset),Perissa or Perivolos(black beach and restaurants, church “Santa irini”), Pyrgo(walk through tiny walkways homes churches shops up to castle ruins on top of mountain) Akrotiri excavation is really amazing to see. (Red beach is a walk from there), volcano and Hot springs by boat. Vineyards. Probably your cruise ship will offer excursions. Have fun You will enjoy the island.
