As someone else put it, the site is simple, yet moving. It is a gravesite that is quiet and serene. Keep in mind, it's a cemetery, not a museum. However, because of who has passed, it was a lit… Full review by Jaskel08

What's the best way of getting guided tour tickets for Arlington? Also, do the guided tours give you enough time to hop off, take photos and ask questions? I'd like to visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and see the changing of the guards. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Trolley tour tickets available inside the Visitor Center. Typically, passengers take trolley to a stop...walk to the site...walk back and wait for the next trolley (arrive every 20-30 minutes). I don't think there's anyone at the stops to ask questions. Changing of the Guard...visitors either stand or sit on steps (left or right of the middle area). Information about the visit is at the Arlington National Cemetery web-site."The guard is changed every hour on the hour October 1 to March 31 in an elaborate ritual. From April 1 through September 30, there are more than double the opportunities to view the change because another change is added on the half hour and the cemetery closing time moves from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m." It's a lot of walking and probably not good for inclement weather.

A:
If you are very fit you certainly can walk anywhere especially the cemetery, but if you have any doubts look for transportation. It can be very warm depending on the season.
