Yes this museum is great for young and old alike. Plenty of hands on interactive displays for the young folks and plenty of historical and informative info to be read for the older crowd that enjoys expanding their knowledge of things. Although you can go through the museum in an hour or so it could take several visits to take it all in. Great place to spend a rainy day. My suggestion after my visit is to go early because there is a lot to take in if you take your time and another suggestion, especially if you go later in the afternoon , is to start on the top floor and work your way down. The top floor has the simulator where you drive a ship down the river into Mobile Bay, only takes about five minutes but ya don’t want to miss it. Also on the top floor is the observation deck where you can overlook the busy river goings on.
