You can take 1 or 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. Don’t take more than 12 tablets in 24 hours.

I have tried to explain it to my dentist, but he has been unable to fix it. We have put a filling in the adjacent tooth to help the problem, then we replaced the crown.

My tooth ache consists of off-and-on pain (fairly sharp), not necessarily when I eat, not sensitive to pressure or tapping, just hot/cold and especially after brushing my teeth (not while brushing).

A deep cavity will taste bad if the nerve in the tooth has died, pus and gunge from the infected nerve space will leak out into the mouth, but the tooth won't be painful. The leakage is preventing pressure build up which is what causes pain.

WEBJan 13, 2013 · Hey, I had the same thing after extraction of lower first molar. The gum around the second premolar was very sore and felt 'raw'. It nearly looked as if part of the gum of that tooth had been rubbed away exposing the tooth underneath. It did heal up within about 2 weeks or so, but would still sometimes get sensitivity there.

He also said I need a root canal on the tooth next to the extraction as there is a black shadow on the xray root.
