I do think Rifaximin really does help to get rid of pests (bacteria, yeast, pathogen) in the intestinal area. It really did help kill/remove whatever infection I had that was causing digestive problems beyond my intolerances .

Ive been on rifaximin alone twice, metronidazole alone once, and metronidazole + rifaximin once - all times my symptoms seem to improve, but then are back a week after stopping the antibiotics.

It did work each time, but did not completely get rid of all symptoms. It often needs to be accompanied by Neomycin to get rid of all the methane-producing bacteria as well.
