I run the NGK BPR6EIX iridium plug. It starts easily and runs great with this plug. I don't think will probably ever need to replace it.

WEBJul 30, 2015 — Astro_Guy. Just curious to know if anyone in the BITOG community owns the Harbor Freight Predator 3500 Watt Inverter Generator, and what they think of it. Presently I run a Champion 3500 Watt generator for essential backup. It is reasonably efficient, but a little loud. This Predator machine looks to be both quieter and a little more efficient.

WEBMar 22, 2006 — As I mentioned, I have the Predator 3500 inverter generator. Our inlaws have the champion one with the key fob start option. Ours is much quieter and better on fuel. The inlaws were mad when they found out ours was only $700 and they paid almost $1000. This little unit is very well built and runs like a charm.

Good info on Votex magnetic drain plugs for Predator 9500 …
WEBJun 20, 2024 — Votex oil drain plug model DP016 has a 10mm head on it and is close to the factory plug size plug with a 14.65mm overall length. This puts the magnet 12.60mm into the oil drain channel/oil pan sump. I found Votex model DP010 has a larger 17mm head but has the same size threads of M12x1.5 but was longer overall at 19.5mm.

I was at about 20 hours, so I decided to do a break in oil change and spark plug exchange. The change from the HF “Torch” plug to an NGK iridium is a recommended upgrade. The generator is quiet, but not low pollution.
