There is unfortunately a limited amount of external bolt-on's you could do to the stock 500 engine to give somewhat of a noticeable performance increase. Unfortunately gains are really seen by doing head modifications, and then cams and such added on.

I have an F model that I hadn't started in 10 years and after putting in fresh fuel, new gas tank, new fuel pump and new fuel lines I cranked it over, but it wouldn't fire. So put in a new coil and regulator and a 123 distributor, I got the same result - cranking but no firing.

If your car is low mileage and does less than 6,000 miles per year, the manual says it should be done every 4 years.

We tried one of them in the car and although it was a little tight to get it in in the first instance it seemed to fit well and settled nicely. My Daughter did jump in and all seemed fine.
